choclate chip cookies kosher parve

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup non-dairy margarine, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 eggs (or egg substitute for a vegan version)

  • 2 cups kosher parve chocolate chips



Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the non-dairy margarine, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.

  4. Add the eggs (or egg substitute) to the margarine mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

  6. Stir in the kosher parve chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may appear slightly undercooked, but they will firm up as they cool.

  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
